What lawyers, partners and office managers most often ask about Murafe: how it works, who sees their data, and what it does and does not do.
Everything about Murafe
Murafe is law firm management software made for Qatar: an online case management system for law firms that also runs client files, fee agreements, vouchers and documents. Lawyers manage files and deadlines in it, accountants issue vouchers in Qatari riyals, and clients follow their own matters through a portal.
Law offices in Doha and across Qatar, from a sole practitioner to a firm with a large team. Partners, lawyers, legal consultants, legal researchers, accountants, secretaries and court representatives each work in it under a role that matches their job.
Murafe is Arabic legal software by design: it took shape in a Qatari law office and was made for the way that office works. Every screen reads right to left, forms and vouchers print in Arabic on the office's letterhead, amounts are spelled out in Arabic words, and clients use an Arabic portal.
No. A current web browser is enough, whether on a laptop, a desktop, a phone or a tablet. Users who prefer an app icon can add Murafe to the home screen on Android, iPhone or a desktop computer, where it opens in its own window with your office's logo.
Yes. Your office's system lives at a web address of its own and shows your logo, your colours and one of six Arabic typefaces; the sign-in page, client portal, vouchers and printouts all carry the same identity.
Yes, through both channels. Clients can receive case updates, hearing reminders and notices of payments falling due, written from templates your office edits. On WhatsApp, messages either go out automatically through a WhatsApp Business account or open ready to send on the staff member's device, and every message is logged with its status.
Murafe gives no legal advice. Its proposed dates come from periods stored in your office's settings (Settings → Appeal periods), which begin with approximate starting values that your lawyers review and can change at any time. Responsibility for every deadline stays with the office.
Yes. A case marked confidential is visible only to its own team and to users holding the permission to view confidential cases. Within any case, a single document can also be restricted to named people, so even other team members cannot open it.
Yes. Add every client to the same case file; each keeps a separate client file, account and fee agreement, so instalments and statements are tracked per client. The daily hearing roll prints all their names in full.
Data migration is a service arranged with each office by agreement; there is no self-service import tool. We agree with you on which records to move and how, as part of preparing your office's system.
No. Murafe does not file documents with the courts or exchange data with court or government systems. It is your office's own record of cases, hearings, judgments, requests and deadlines, kept up to date by your team.
No. Murafe has no timer or billable-hours module. Fees are managed through fee agreements split into instalments with due dates, receipts recorded against them, and a statement of account for each client.
