The judgment is out… and the file is not closed yet
Murafe carries on after the judgment: obtaining the executory formula is recorded on the judgment itself, an “Execution” file linked to the case is opened before the Execution Court, and applications, objections and hearings are followed inside it, while the client sees as much of their file’s progress as the office allows.

What comes after the judgment needs a file of its own
Murafe treats execution as a litigation degree in its own right, not as a note at the end of the case file. Once the executory formula has been obtained, the lawyer ticks its option on the judgment and, from the “More” menu in the case file, asks to open an “Execution” file, setting their client’s capacity in it (usually the party seeking execution), the forum and the file number. A new file is born, connected to the original and carrying the same parties, subject and case team, and the hearings, applications and documents of this stage begin in it.
This separation makes a clear difference to follow-up: the statistics show execution files at their degree and with their statuses for any period and any lawyer, and clicking a figure opens the files themselves. The original judgment stays in the case file with its operative part and the amount awarded, so whoever works on execution goes back to it from the linked file without copying or retyping. In files on criminal judgments and cheques, the prosecution office can be set on the file, including the Judgments Enforcement and Cheques Prosecution in the preset list.
Applications and objections in their place
Applications multiply at the execution stage, and each has a body, a number and a decision. The lawyer records them from the “Applications” tab of the execution file: a request for the executory formula, a travel ban, a precautionary attachment, a stay of execution, and the other types the office sets under Settings → Lists. For each application, the record shows where it was filed, under what number and when, and who on the team is following it, until the decision is noted with its text and date: granted in full or in part, or rejected. Applications from every file gather on the “Applications” page, so whoever supervises execution reviews each application’s status without opening the files one by one.
If an objection to execution is raised, a case is created for it with the matter type “Objection” and the degree “Execution”, then linked to the execution file with the link type “Objection to execution”, so the two files show as linked and whoever opens one sees the other. Each has its own hearings and decisions, so the objection’s hearing never gets mixed up with the original execution proceedings. The daily hearing roll still brings the two together with the rest of the office’s hearings, sorted by court and time, so the lawyer knows where to be each morning.
Money and the client at the collection stage
Execution has its costs, such as fees, notices and travel, and they are often charged to the client. In Murafe, the accountant issues a payment voucher for each expense, linked to the execution file, and marks it “Charged to the client”, so it appears in their statement of account automatically. If the lawyer needs an amount before it is paid out, they fill in an “Expense request form” from the file; it goes through the finance department’s approval and then senior management’s sign-off, and the accountant then issues the voucher from the request’s page, with the request number printed on it. The voucher is printed on the office’s letterhead, with the amount written out in words in Qatari riyals automatically.
The party seeking execution is among the clients who ask most often about their rights: has the decision been issued, and what is the next step? Instead of answering every call, the lawyer notifies them from the execution file by WhatsApp or email with a ready template whose text is previewed before sending, and the client reads in the portal the hearings and updates the office allows. When execution is complete, the file’s status is changed to “Closed” with a note recorded under “Updates” and shown to the client, and the file is archived when the office sees fit.
Questions about execution and collection of judgments
After the executory formula has been obtained and its option ticked on the judgment. A file at the “Execution” degree is then opened from the case file through “Open appeal / cassation / execution”, with no need to re-enter the parties: they move to the new file along with the subject and the case team.
Create a case with the matter type “Objection” and the degree “Execution”, then link it to the execution file with the link type “Objection to execution”. The two files then show as linked, each with its own hearings and decisions.
The amount awarded is recorded on the judgment, and the collection steps are documented in the execution file through its applications, decisions, hearings, updates and documents. The accounts in Murafe, however, are the office’s accounts with its client: fee agreements and their instalments, receipt and payment vouchers, and the client’s statement of account.
Yes, if the payment voucher is issued linked to the file and marked “Charged to the client”. A voucher not linked to a client, a case or a service counts as an office expense.
Yes. Create a new case at the “Execution” degree directly and enter its parties, number and forum; if the file of the original judgment is in the system, link the two files through “Link to another case” so they show as linked.
